Job
The Jr. Survey Methodologist will support the development and application of analytic methods within the process of intelligence analysis and collection in the areas of statistics, operations research, mathematics, geospatial modeling, and survey. The survey methodologist selects and determines a process or multiple processes in which they research and analyze data to the tools used for data analysis. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience working on research projects focused on public health.
Job Responsibilities
Conducts and manages cognitive or debriefing interviews, usability testing, and focus groups to improve survey quality and testing data collection instruments for large-scale surveys.
Analyzes data using SAS statistical software for qualitative and quantitative information analysis and evaluates data quality issues.
Communicates with industry or professional groups to relay technical and analytical principles and methods related to surveys or related data.
Performs technical reviews and analyses of data, technical manuscripts, or reports for the soundness of survey methods used and validity of interpretations made and makes recommendations.
Work Schedule
This role will be performed remotely during a standard workweek and workday. However, ASC strives to provide flexibility to our employees and consider flexible schedules, which can be mutually beneficial.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience. A Master's degree is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Experience with large data sets relating to mental health or substance use.
Experience preparing analyses of data sets
Experience preparing appropriate frequency, percentage, and rate distributions, or other statistical measures
Experience analyzing survey designs and sampling weight
Experience preparing complex analyses (e.g., logistical regression, hierarchical linear modeling) using these databases
Experience preparing reports on data analysis
