Intern - Payroll Analyst (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY

As an intern on the payroll team at Yellow, you will work alongside seasoned technical professionals that will guide and support you in your internship. Our interns will gain experience in meaningful projects and gain hands-on experience in the various aspects of supporting a multi-faceted Union/NonUnion Payroll of greater than 30,000 employees. You’ll work hard, have fun, and gain real-world experience and skills that can be applied throughout your career.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Payroll intern will assist in the management and administration of Payroll related tasks including the creation and development of enhancements and training users in the Kronos / UKG Timekeeping and Oracle HCM Cloud environments. Our interns gain hands-on experience with accurate and timely payroll processing, reporting, record keeping, data and process auditing, and more.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing undergraduate (at least third year student) pursuing degree in related field: Accounting, Human Resources, Business, Information Technology or other applicable majors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with cloud based HCM systems and data
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional in our office environment and remote work setting via Microsoft Teams. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
