Job Description
This internship will contribute to the microgrid control development using blockchain technologies. The intern will be involved in tasks for developing practical blockchain networks customized for the use in microgrids, ensuring high security and scalability of the system to provide resilience against cyberattacks and natural disasters. The tasks also include developing interfaces of the blockchain and assets, using internet-of-things (IoT) devices as well as the digital signal processors. All tasks under this internship will be evaluated and validated in a setup fully equipped with software and hardware.

Basic Qualifications
Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a Master's or PhD degree program, or graduated in the past 12 months from an accredited institution. Internship period cannot exceed 12 months past graduation. Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.Please Note:

Additional Required Qualifications
- Graduate student engaged in master’s or Ph.D. Program.
- Excellent writing and communications skills and ability to present technical results to a wide audience
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on skill sets including practical experience in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) programming such as Hyperledger or Ethereum would be highly preferred.
- Experience in Embedded System (preferably using Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone, or Arduino) is highly preferred.
- Working expertise in Golang, Javascript, or Nodejs, is a plus.
- Research and development experience are preferred.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Annual Salary Range: $39,600 - $63,500 Offers will typically be made in the bottom half of the listed range. NREL takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.Benefits Summary
