Overview: We are looking to hire a passionate and innovative Developer Intern to partner with HBR’s Organizational Development and Training (ODT) team to create and develop training materials and platforms to both manage and deliver the company’s ODT efforts. This Developer role will support efforts in various systems: SharePoint 1.0 and 2.0, PowerPoint, Autotask while achieving a range of developer outputs from video editing, presentation and training material creation, tracking system, and knowledge management repositories.

You will work on various meaningful and impactful projects along side with HBR employees and take the development lead on much of them.

The experience you need could be from classroom or a job. Ideally, this role needs HTML, CCS, JavaScript experience.

This is a part-time internship working 20 hours/week on a fully remote basis.
Responsibilities:

  • Transition SharePoint pages from SharePoint 1.0 to SharePoint 2.0 for multiple departments and groups (knowledge of HTML and CSS)
  • Maintain and edit both SharePoint 1.0 and 2.0 pages for multiple departments through the transition phase
  • Create media materials, including video editing projects using Adobe
  • Review / research various teaching platforms and tools (virtual conference platforms, etc.) and provide assessment on various platforms for project
  • Support internal management tools for ticketing, tracking and recording keeping (i.e. Autotask, etc.)
  • Take personal responsibility for project deadlines and technical commitments and contributions to assigned projects

  • Great attention to detail & can follow directions well
  • Independently work/build/research on clear tasks/projects
  • Motivated to try new methods and learn new technologies without direction to do so
  • Ability to comfortably communicate and ask questions regarding projects

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with Adobe; knowledge of various systems, including WordPress
  • Quick learner and executor within technologies and developer tools and platforms
