Marketing and Communications Intern

This role will work directly with Marketing leaders to support strategic marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will also support a variety of brand building and service line growth strategies. We are looking for a current student with an understanding of marketing and how it can be applied to the growth of the ministry. We are looking for a candidate full of creative ideas and ready to contribute with a strong interest in gaining tangible professional experience within a fast-paced, ever-changing, real-world marketing team. The employee will gain visibility into the operations of one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the country and will produce concrete deliverables and work with leaders across the ministry.
- Manage and execute creative materials, including creating and editing collateral pieces, flyers, brochures, posters, etc.
- Work with marketing team on marketing projects specific to multiple different regions within Bon Secours Mercy Health.
- Assist and support additional marketing efforts as defined by group marketing team.
- Support for special events, projects and sponsorships.
- Researching and writing blog posts.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must be a junior/senior expecting to graduate within the next two years with a focus in marketing. Must have excellent communication and writing skills with a working knowledge of AP Style. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Must have a record of being a self-starter and ability to work in teams or independently. Organized and have good time management skills. Must be able to multi-task, including seeing multiple projects through to completion at one time. Demonstrated communication and creative skills (educational examples accepted). Previous internship experience preferred.
Comfortable communicating with patients, doctors, organizational leaders, or other clinical staff as needed.
