Job Description:

Paid HR Internship Opportunity

We have a paid internship opportunity within our HR department. This opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to a few different areas of HR and is ideal for a human resources major.

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Pay Type: Hourly – full time Summer 2022


What you will do:

  • Shadow and participate in interviews. Debrief with interview panel
  • Update job descriptions, or help draft new job descriptions where needed, and upload to our knowledge base system
  • Help build HR FAQs for our knowledge base system
  • Upload relevant Pet policies or procedures to our knowledge base system (ex. Office Dog Policy). Recommend functional enhancements to increase speed of recall, usability, quality and reliability of information to users
  • Work on merger integration projects
  • Update CareerPathing tool content for other positions (ex. IT) and across A&H
  • Dependent upon timing, reporting on engagement survey results
  • Attend meetings with some department heads
  • Turnover reporting
  • Research and solve problems quickly and accurately
  • Respond professionally to inquiries
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

  • Curious and highly effective at engaging subject matter experts (for example, department heads) to uncover their needs
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of employees using all mediums
  • Interact with diplomacy and tact with co-workers, management and all external company contacts
