Client Software Development Summer Intern

Are you a Computer Science undergrad student seeking an exciting summer 2022 internship and looking for an opportunity to leave a lasting impression in the consumer space?
We are looking for students ready to roll up their sleeves and help build game-changing products over the course of a 12 weeks summer internship. We are looking for students excited to help solve big problems and join a team with equally motivated co-workers. This is an awesome opportunity to work on early stage product development, solving real consumer issues.
About the role - you will:
- Have the opportunity to help with new development on a very young codebase, our macOS native client software, which is a critical component in our ecosystem
- Help with architecture, design, and implementation of key areas of our application and work closely with our user experience team to build a great user interface
- Work collaboratively with other teams in the company such as Product Management, Client Software, UX and QA
- Design, develop and debug a rich user experience on macOS that will delight consumers
- Work closely with Seagate Product Managers to help prioritize features, establish goals and track dependencies, milestones and deadlines and to keep everything on the rails and on time throughout the development lifecycle
- Help drive constant innovation in both product and process.
About you:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and returning to school in fall 2022.
Must be a self-directed team player who thrives in a continually changing environment and has the following attributes and experience:
- Experience and/or coursework with C++
- Experience with macOS applications including Objective-C/Swift or Win32 applications and C#
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, memory management, concurrency) with demonstrated ability to apply these skills to solve hard real world problems
You might also have:
- Experience with Cocoa API or Win32 API
- Exceptional ability to debug and optimize desktop applications
- Solid development experience with network applications
