Cloud Security & Privacy Engineering Intern (Summer 2022)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works on understanding the specific Security and Privacy/ regulatory requirments, writing those requirments and building out diagrams to articulate the seucirty architectures while assisting the senior team members in designing soultions
- Help Security Architecture team in various projects underway.
- Develop and/or enhance Security Architecture Solutions – design and define solution components, subsystems, platforms, and integrations fit together to meet the business needs and how the solution fits in with the greater enterprise context, help develop those solutions through proof of concept (POC) research.
- Ensures that key project delivery team members understand the Security and Privacy architecture and verify that the design and implementation will be consistent with the Security and Privacy architecture specification.
- Participate in team meetings
- Provide complete and accurate status updates on the intern’s work
- Shadow higher level architects and learn more about their day-to-day responsibilities
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A passion and basic understanding of Cloud Security Concepts
- Understanding of Cloud based platforms and functions (AWS, AZURE)
- Ability to understand Security, Privacy concepts
- Diagramming and modeling experience to use tools like Lucid charts
- Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
- Write requirements and other documents
- Enthusiasm, willingness and ability to learn new technologies
- Experience in Python, Terraform, DevOps, DevSecOps, Automation, Security areas is a plus
- Interest in Privacy engineering and regulatory compliance using automation and tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing dynamic team in a highly visible role.
- Basic awareness of industry and technology that the intern will be working on.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Pursuing Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Preferably a rising junior or senior
