Summary

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will have a solid knowledge of database concepts and will work closely with the Systems Engineering team of developers and business stakeholders to document systems requirements, user manuals, and Quality Assurance test plans. Additionally, the Senior BSA will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and guidance in developing innovative solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external client software development projects
• Manage the ongoing factor research pipeline and assignment for quant team.
• Produce performance analytic reports for existing strategies and factor research.
• Develop prototype reports in SQL and Python
• Facilitate daily scrum meetings and project management activities.
• Prepare client presentation decks & status updates
• Provide QA support and guidance for software development projects.
• Manage project requirements, backlog, and scope.
• Ongoing operational support for client onboarding and reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Finance and 5-6 years of relevant experience
• Experience with agile development tools such as JIRA and Confluence is required.
• Advanced skill in writing SQL queries to gather, clean, and analyze trading data is required.
• Familiarity with a programming language such as Python, C, and R is a plus
• Familiarity with tools for analysis such as Jupyter Notebooks and Tableau is a plus.
• Previous experience working with equity investments is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment is essential.

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each work day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
