Payroll Temp - Intern
This position is responsible for reviewing and reconciling payroll files and reports timely and accurately and in compliance with all applicable institutional, TBR, Federal, and State regulations, policies, and guidelines. This position will provide support work in verifying financial information and bringing discrepancies to the Director’s attention. Depending on circumstances, remote work may be an option.
Responsibilities:
Help make corrections to payroll posting to general ledger;
Reconcile Edison Collections and Applied Reports to payroll deductions;
Monitors and assists with monthly benefit vendor remittance and reconciliation of all payroll general ledger liability accounts;
Reconcile various accounts, bank statements, and other payroll transactions;
Prepares, analyzes, and reconciles institutional, Federal, State, and TBR required reporting, as well as ad hoc reports;
Performs additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
A high school degree/GED
Related work experience
Experience or training in Windows operating system and Microsoft applications, specifically MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in accounting, payroll or finance
Knowledge of payroll terminology, practices, and basic accounting theory and practice
Ability to perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations
