Junior Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

As a Junior Account/Sales Manager for your perimeter (North America), your role is to:

  • Assist the sales manager in all areas of commercial and technical responsibility for the region

  • Prepare customer and market analysis

  • Support price management and customer communications

  • Participate in the development of the commercial strategy for the sales area

  • Contribute to the commercial development and the profitability of the activity on all the markets present in the scope (Abrasives market - North America)

  • Take over a certain group of customers directly over time and manage and develop customer relations

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hygiene Safety Environment missions : Ensure compliance with safety rules, educate teams on preventive measures to achieve our safety objectives

Commercial support, plan building, execution & monitoring

  • Support of sales manager in all areas of the business as required

  • Participate to the building of the annual sales plan/ budget forecast and mid-term plan

  • Support sales forecasting activities

  • Execute the commercial roadmaps developed for your segment or products or geography

  • Analyses sales trends/preparation of reports for sales management/advise on the business

  • Contribute to projects with customers

  • Review and analyze performances against programs, quote and plan to determine effectiveness

  • Ensure business is servicing existing customer base at (or surpassing) expectations and developing new growth opportunities in each circuit and market segment.

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing new commercial opportunities and achieving the sales goals with strong ability to build both internal and external relationships

  • Account management at small/medium accounts over time

  • Support sales manager with implementation of pricing policy and work on new offers

  • Contribute to the conclusion of annual contracts for the area

  • Coordination of various credit management activities

  • Manage various customer communications

  • Identify sales development targets, elaborate and implement appropriate development strategy

  • Ensure forecast accuracy and jointly manage customer relationship with Customer Service Team

  • Handling of customer complaints

  • Coordination of various commercial and technical tasks between the plants

Technical support, execution & monitoring

  • Coordinate activities between production and sales

  • Specialize in technical product knowledge and specifications

  • Local assistance with customer specifications

  • LIMS (laboratory information management system) expert: assist in quality data uploads, record keeping, correction of COA’s and applicable specifications

  • Primary point of contact for import product quality approvals and local production specification adjustments

  • Assist with production of technical presentations, job site trials and development projects

  • Workplace efficiency projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful US-based candidates must be fully Covid-19 vaccinated before the employment start date unless exempted by applicable law.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business related field or equivalent experience

  • Experience in sales is a plus

  • Business acumen and Technical appetite

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (including negotiation) skills; value-added solution selling

  • Ability to positively influence others w/o direct reporting lines

  • Strong team working skills

  • Advanced problem solving skills

  • Strategic thinking, result oriented, concern for impact

  • Highly motivated and resourceful self-motivator

  • Taste for challenges - entrepreneurial mentality

  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills

  • Ability to use common IT tools (Excel, Word, Gsuite, Web tools

  • Salesforce skills would be an advantage

  • Mandatory use of English (technical and commercial)

  • Regular and weekly trips (up to 60% )

  • Driving license required
