Our Beverage Technology and Innovation team is proud of where we’ve been, but more interested in where we’re going. This team drives creativity, pushing us to find the next big thing. The R&D Intern specializing in Innovation & Product Development, will be a contributing member of a team that brings together leading-edge technical knowledge to spur development of new products and processes
Base Hourly Rate: $18/hour
In Preston, WA office: 40/hrs a week located in Preston, WA
Interview Timeline: All interviews will take place in January
Internship Timeframe: 12 Weeks from May 16, 2022 - August 5, 2022 OR June 20, 2022 – September 9, 2022. The specific dates are flexible in accordance with university course schedule and business needs.
Reports to: TBD
- Gain real-world working experience through dynamic projects. Gain immediate hands on work experience in one of the beverage leading companies
- Support ongoing projects through making beverage samples, setting up stability testing, and recording results, and assisting with sensory consumer testing.
- Support the execution of pilot plant tests and research experiments
- Document and maintain accurate and complete records relevant to experiments and projects
- Manage the inventory of incoming samples, commonly used ingredients, flavors, and lab supplies.
- Complete sanitation duties daily as necessary and support management of the lab
- Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, notifying immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Pursuing a degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related technical science degree is required
- Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
