PURPOSE

Under direct supervision, trainee engineer assists in research and fact‐finding to develop or modify information systems. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains related software programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writes code to implement the design and performs unit testing of changes including development of test plans under direct supervision.
• Works with the documentation team to assure new functionality is properly
• Works with test team as needed on validation of software products.
• Works on automation of development or testing task as per the assignment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Working knowledge in one or more of the following in order of priority:

Spotfire, PL/SQL, Sharepoint Salesforce, Java/J2EE Technologies, Vaadin, Python, Mulesoft, React, AWS, Big Data, AI ML Kubernetees, Gitlab

• Familiarity with one or more software development methodology – agile, iterative is desirable
• Exposure to Gitlab, JIRA, Kubernetees will be an advantage for this role.
• Have good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments
• Being sensitive to different cultures and work globally

MIN REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, information technology, Data Science, Analytics, or closely related subject/s

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive use of keyboard and mouse requiring repetitive motion of fingers and wrists
• Regular sitting for extended periods of time
• Frequent use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
