The Business Operations Analyst Internship will be part of our eviCore organization. eviCore empowers the improvement of care by connecting patients, providers, and health plans with intelligent, evidence-based solutions to enable better outcomes. The internship is a paid position that will be on the forefront of assisting execution of innovative products and solutions in the market and will be exposed to thought leadership discussions, problem-solving situations, working with internal matrix partners and external vendors, providers, community entities and local government. The internship will be a key contributor to keeping projects on task to meet due dates and to help identify process improvement initiatives and creative solutions. This role will gain an understanding of business operations through collaborative interactions with cross functional business partners throughout the project life cycle. Through this process, the individual will have the opportunity to be exposed to end to end process flows within the utilization management environment, develop relationships with operations leadership, and execute on delivery of a highly impactful project that will be presented to operations leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
This role will be a part of Cigna's Internship Program, where the intern will receive a combination of on the job training and professional development. This includes opportunities to hear from Cigna Leadership, to learn about our Leadership Development Programs, and to get to network with other interns across the country.
Preferred qualifications:
Ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior in a Bachelor’s degree program studying Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or other related fields
Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
Advanced and professional social and communication skills – Must demonstrate the highest caliber of communication as this position will be representing Cigna in the market at times
Ability to identify barriers and raise awareness to leadership
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Desire to be part of a team atmosphere focused on winning
Ability to proficiently work in Microsoft Project or Microsoft Excel
Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks summer 2022, beginning May 23, 2022.
This role can work from home from any US location.
One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
