Jr. Mortgage Processor - Part Time, Work from Home

Job Description:
*This position is eligible to work from home*
Opens first mortgage loans originated by Mortgage Loan Officers accurately and in a timely manner; assistant to Senior Processor. Loans to be processed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Verify the validity of the information. Must participate in training annually or as required for BSA and the Privacy Act. Must be proficient in ability to navigate various software programs.
- Open files and meet required time frames: Order credit reports, insurance, appraisals, CAIVRS, Condo and PUD documents, 4506 transcripts, verification of employment, rental or deposit verifications as needed to validate mortgage information. Validate application and disclosure dates for compliance. Maintain Loan Appraisal Rotation. Process Credit Card transactions and maintain Excel log and balance transactions to deposit in general ledger. Confirm membership, debit accounts.
- Follow up, provide estimated date of receipt, and ensure orders are received on time.
- Maintain current information related to Government Disbarred and Eligibility List for Internal and External applicants, employees and all parties to the transaction.
- Validate information entered in LOS (Loan Origination System) and AUS (Automated Underwriting System).
- Maintain verbal and email communication with applicants and assist with any questions. Notify all parties of additional information required. Update realtors, builders and loan officers of
- file status. (as directed by Sr. Mortgage Loan Processor)
- Maintain a pipeline of 20-35 loans per month active pipeline.
- Coordinate the payment of bills such as appraisal, credit reports and bills related to mortgage operations and forward for approval to appropriate manager within department.
- Maintain Electronic mailboxes: Email and voicemail communications and process and distribute appraisals, title commitments, insurance and online applications.
- Provide assistance to Senior Processors, Closers, and Loan Officers to assist in daily activities.
- Attain and maintain knowledge of all Credit Union Services.
- Support / backup to Secondary Market Specialist:
- Process rate lock on investor loans. Monitor rate lock expirations.
- Issue daily rates. Update rates on website daily.
- Coordinate and deliver whole loan deliveries in Investor loan systems.
- Perform related duties as directed by Mortgage Operations Supervisor.
- Assist in post-closing duties as needed.
- Interface with other departments, vendors, and financial institutions to promote teamwork and high quality member service.
- Provide a weekly mortgage status report.
- Maintain member confidentiality.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions as requested.
- Responsible for upholding all credit union ethical standards.
- Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform other essential job functions as required or assigned.
Required Experience:
Minimum Education Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum one year data entry and customer service
- Loan processing or banking experience required
