Responsibilities:
JOB SCOPE:
Ensure payroll for all salaried and hourly employees in accordance with existing procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance of each payroll run, identifying and documenting any issues found that require resolution
  • Verify wage calculations, deductions and other ad hoc remuneration for errors or inconsistencies; be able to identify anomalies and validate for correctness
  • Ensure data integrity by validating employee and work records captured correctly in payroll system from the source systems (i.e. HR, Time & Attendance, Benefit Provider)
  • Review payroll for compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as government regulations.
  • Perform sample cross-referencing of employee demographic data between payroll and HRIS systems to confirm accuracy
  • Review error logs from input/output interfaces from payroll system and work with team to resolve errors
  • Facilitate overpayment recovery process with employees, manager, and HR team
  • Validate retro-deductions when employees on leave
  • Enter miscellaneous HR workflow instructions that need to be manually entered in payroll system
  • Process any manual or special payments not coming from time & attendance system.
  • Handle any off-cycle or non-routine payments (i.e. advances)
  • Respond in a timely manner all employee inquiries.
  • Stay updated on state and federal payroll and tax laws
  • Collaborate and ensure effective communication with counterparts in Finance, HR and IT to ensure coordination across the whole organization relating to
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations. Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Payroll, Accounting or Finance, preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years payroll/finance/accounting related experience
  • Experience with ADP GlobalView payroll system, preferred
  • Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel)
