Junior Subcontract Administrator - Remote Work Possible

What you’ll do as a Junior Subcontracts Administrator

  • Meet with the Senior Subcontract Administrator and Program Managers to discuss subcontracting requirements and answer any questions concerning the required subcontract type (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.), and to facilitate the completion of all required backup documents to initiate and execute a subcontract.
  • Assist Requestors in filling out/creating the subcontract required documentation
  • Create and maintain official subcontract files with all required backup documentation
  • Assist the Senior Subcontract Administrator in providing training to the PM’s and Division Administrators on subcontract requirements as needed
  • Provide support and/or requests for information to co-workers, subcontractors, and auditors
  • Support any additional subcontract negotiations required by mods, etc.
  • Ensure that the subcontract is consistent with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations
  • Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding subcontract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation and termination
  • Build positive relationships with subcontractors by maintaining excellent internal and external customer service standards
  • Interacts daily with internal and external customers

Junior Subcontracts Administrator Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field plus zero to two years of related experience or six to eight years of related experience without a degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in FAR/DFAR requirements
  • Understanding the basics of negotiation and development of contracts
  • Ability to create and edit files in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Excel to create and edit documents
  • Demonstrated understanding and successful application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in the preparation of competitive and non-competitive subcontracts, negotiation of cost/price and terms and conditions, post-award subcontract management and closeout activities
  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous subcontract request actions in a given period

Junior Subcontracts Administrator Preferences

  • SharePoint experience
  • Experience using Deltek and/or CostPoint
