Title: Social Media Intern / Spring 2022

Location: Remote

Type: Internship / College Credit available

Social Media Intern will work as part of the communication team and assist with marketing and branding campaigns for agency social media accounts. As a member of the Communications team and reporting to the Deputy Director, the Social Media Intern assists and executes social media strategies. The position plays a central role in supporting the execution of a comprehensive communications plan.

  • Design and develop written and visual content for CSPNJ's social media channels
  • Develop a social media schedule with consideration of audience engagement metrics and larger organization goals
  • Keep abreast of the latest social media trends and best practices
  • Attend program events, photo shoots, and video shoots to assist in providing in-house photography needs and production assistance for content creation
  • Interview members of the CSPNJ community and develop engaging stories and content for social media

Skills Required:

  • Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt content to different audiences
  • Functional knowledge of Canva, Adobe PhotoShop, or similar design editing software
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck
  • Knowledge of/experience with video editing software is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
