Are you a Communications or Business student with a strong ability to communicate strategically, actively listen for opportunities and connect with others? AARP Hawaii is looking for you! Our team is the face of AARP in Hawaii and is responsible for engaging our members and the public in learning opportunities that will help them make good decisions as they age – so that they can live the lives they want to live in retirement. As part of our work, we create relationships between AARP Hawaii and external organizations to broaden our reach and our ability to offer free local programming related to financial security, caregiving, fraud prevention, and more.

As an intern, you will apply strategic, analytical, and creative thinking to marketing AARP Hawaii’s speaker’s bureau and local events to external organizations. On any given day, you could be making calls to organizational leaders, meeting with community relations volunteers, participating in webinars, or creating marketing tools such as fliers, newsletter copy, or short videos. You will create contacts across the state and sharpen your skills. We’ll challenge you to think and work in new ways. We are committed to your growth and cultivating your continued learning and development.
