Junior Community Manager (Part-Time)
About Jumpcut:
Jumpcut is building the narrative layer for web3. We are creating narrative-centric NFTs that
come attached with Hollywood creators and talent. We use technology to support collective
creativity and build IP from the bottom-up by incentivizing various levels of creative participation
through gamified experiences. Our community-centric approach disrupts how content is
sourced, developed, and made. Collaborators and partners include streamers like Disney India
and producers of Oscar winning films such as Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Good Will
Hunting). The company was founded by serial entrepreneur and Wharton School professor
Kartik Hosanagar in partnership with Atomic, a $400M venture studio in Silicon Valley behind
unicorn startups such as Hims.
Overview:
The Junior Community Manager is responsible for supporting The Head of Community in the
day to day planning and management of online Discord communities and social media channels
for Jumpcut and its NFT-based projects. The Junior Community Manager should have a strong
understanding and interest in web3 and a demonstrated understanding of NFT-based content,
blockchain fundamentals, and the decentralized web.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Discord moderators and key online community leaders to foster a collaborative, productive, and enjoyable online community for NFT-based projects, under leadership of Head of Community.
- Monitor online Discord community and provide regular updates on key conversations, topics gaining the most traction, and red flags to Head of Community and the Jumpcut team.
- Regularly monitor key web3 online discourse and provide strategies, topics, and post concepts to Jumpcut team for use on Uppercut Discord/Social Media channels, or in internal initiatives.
- Be the eyes and ears of the company on other relevant Discord channels.
- Support creation and management of cloud-based streaming video content library.
- Create, manage, and grow Jumpcut and NFT-project(s) presence across traditional social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and YouTube.
- Manage detailed content calendars for all external social media channels and post ad-hoc timely content not included in the programmed posting.
- Execute visual content design, including photography and/or graphic imagery for social media channels using asset library.
Skills:
- 1-2 years moderating a Discord-based consumer community.
- Understanding of and passion for decentralized technology.
- Expertise with Discord technical administration.
- Advanced working knowledge of Twitter, Twitter Spaces, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook (Including Business Manager,) and YouTube.
- Ability to create visual graphics and content using Photoshop/Canva/Figma for posting.
- Strong work ethic, hustle, communication, writing ability, and business development sensibility.
- Deep curiosity, relentless resourcefulness, and a growth mindset.
Consulting Scope:
- This is a part-time consulting position with opportunity to grow over time. The role is initially scoped to work up to 16 hours per week.
