The Opportunity
As the Jr. Project Manager, you will report to the Project Manager. Under their mentorship, you will oversee projects and partner closely with the technical leads to make sure priorities, risks, resources, and schedule are managed well and adjusted when necessary. In this role, you will guide team conversations about the scope of the work being done and potential paths while using strong communication skills to help keep everyone the same page and make sure everyone is heard. The ideal candidate has a logical mindset, is hungry to learn, can synthesize critical inputs across domains, and lead cross-functional team members to execute and deliver on objectives and goals. This position is for a detailed-oriented, analytical curious problem solver who possesses an affinity for dissecting information and has strong communication and organizational skills to comfortably liaise with individuals across the organization.

The Role
- Create estimates for development request that include a detailed scope of work, budget, and timeline
- Monitor multiple project schedules, timelines, and budgets simultaneously
- Conduct risk assessment/analysis and design risk mitigation plans to ensure deliverable deadlines are met
- Create simple, yet detailed project progress reports to ensure internal stakeholders are informed and kept up to date
- Interact with employees at all levels of the organization to drive projects from initiation to successful completion
- Manage stakeholder's expectations and deadlines while shifting priorities to ensure alignment with business goals and values
- Provide recommendations to help teams & stakeholders achieve their goals efficiently, by adopting agile best practices and tailor as needed

Ideal Candidate
- 0-1 years of project management experience with Agile PPM, Scrum, or other related certifications; OR
- 1-2 years of project management experience preferably in software development
- 4-year BA/BS degree with a strong academic record
- Agile PPM or Scrum certification preferred, but not required
- Marketing services agency or web-based application development experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in:
- Understanding complex ideas to break them down into smaller, sequential plans while understanding interdependencies to deliver solutions
- Using solution-based thinking to solve problems, involving the courage to ask probing questions to identify for underlying issues
- Possessing business acumen to understand the larger company strategy
- Communicating requirements and potential blockers to inform team members and stakeholders
- Being tech savvy or adaptive to quickly learning new applications (specifically Office 365 and web-based applications)
Position Type
This is a full-time, exempt position. Normal business hours between 9:00am-6:00pm Pacific Standard Time with flexibility dependent on location.
Work Environment
This position is expected to be fully remote. However, NRG offers flexible work options if an employee happens to live near a dedicated US-based office (Playa Vista or New York) and wants a hybrid work model. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and may require occasional meetings in Pacific Standard Time
