Job Summary:
Interested in an opportunity to work on proposals for work around the world? AECOM is looking for a Junior Federal Proposal Specialist to respond to US government task order RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. The proposal specialist will primarily prepare qualifications documents under the leadership of a senior proposal manager or business development manager. Subject matter may include studies and planning, architecture and engineering design, construction, environmental, program management, and other professional services. The ideal candidate will bring attention to detail, solid writing skills, and creative design ideas as well as at least one year of experience with proposal writing.

Responsibilities include:
+ Writes, edits, and produces small to medium task order proposal documents for US government clients. This includes desktop publishing and final production of proposal documents.

+ Develops compliance matrix, response outlines, schedules, and templates for these proposal documents.

+ Contributes to the writing and/or editing and/or formatting of sections or volumes on larger proposals managed by a senior proposal manager as needed. This includes multi-volume technical proposals and SF 330s.

+ May work directly with team/subcontractor firms in preparation and submittal of proposal materials under the guidance/direction of a senior proposal manager.

+ Reviews debriefs and client feedback on proposals for continuous improvement.

+ Updates and maintains status of assigned pursuits in CRM system (Salesforce).

+ Follows company quality control and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory) under supervision of others.

+ Coordinates and participates in proposal review meetings, including Pink and Red team reviews, to build institutional knowledge.

+ Manages the implementation of proposal revisions based on direction from review teams.

+ Maintains boilerplate materials, project descriptions/lists, resumes and other corporate information for use in proposal and qualifications submittals.

+ Assists with the archiving of proposal content and upload to appropriate internal databases or servers as part of proposal closeout procedures in a timely and quality manner and according to department standards.

+ Supports special projects, as required.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Strong writing and editing skills.

+ Ability to write, edit and produce documents in Word and Power Point are essential. In addition, experience with Adobe InDesign is helpful but not essential.

+ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail with ability to plan and manage multiple tasks.

+ Strong deadline management skills and, when necessary to meet deadlines, be willing to work extra time required to meet deadlines.

+ A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.

+ Comfortable writing and editing content about architectural, engineering, scientific and related content in English.

+ Ability to follow detailed government instructions for proposal format and content.

+ Ability to meet non-negotiable client deadlines, sometimes with very fast turnaround times.

+ Experience working on proposals for the US Department of Defense.

+ Experience writing/editing/producing proposals for architect-engineer and environmental services.
