Cue Health Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Information Security Intern . The Information Security Intern will be a fully participating member of Cue’s Security Operations Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our daily Information Security Operations activities, including responding to alerts, managing performance metrics and maintaining our toolset. This position will also have a chance to mentor with the Security Engineers and the Sr. Manager of Security Operations to gain valuable experience on both Security engineering and strategic Information Security issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and responding to Security Inquiries, Alerts and Escalations from a variety of sources

  • Assist in end user Security training and outreach efforts to other Cue Teams

  • Assist in generating Security Metrics, and tracking over time to observe trends and insights to the overall security posture of Cue

  • Assist the Security Engineers on management of Security Tools

  • Assist the Security Operations team on Incident Response activities

  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a technical degree program, with a deep interest in Cyber Security

  • Certifications: Security+ or equivalent coursework, or a history of Security related project work

  • Training: Knowledge of basic IT fundamentals, including Cloud Services, Basic Networking, and Web Services

  • Years’ experience: None required for internship

  • Experience in medical device or IVD medical device or related field, or experience with cloud solutions preferred

Environment and Physical Activities/Requirements:

  • You will work in an indoor remote environment for which no adverse conditions are expected. This position requires the following physical activities and/or requirements:

    • Remaining in a stationary or sedentary position, often standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time

    • Repeating motions, such as keyboarding, that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

    • Communicating with others to exchange information

    • Adjusting, moving, carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 20 pounds
