Job Summary
The Sourcing Intern is responsible for proper acquisition of various products. Knowledge of water treatment chemicals, commercial pools, and/or construction materials is preferable. The individual will be responsible for the analysis and negotiation of domestic and internationally sourced items.
Responsibilities:
Writing requests for proposals
Creating analysis of various offers including price, freight and handling
Creating analysis of potential re-sell price for alternative products and new product set up in distribution system.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Develop & execute innovative ideas through teamwork and collaboration across functional groups.
Strong attention to detail.
Analytical skills and proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient computer skills including use of MS Office programs.
Ability to organize and multitask.
ISM Certification and/or courses desirable.
