HR/Recruiting Intern - Spring 2022
Tyler Technologies is accepting applications for an HR Intern for spring and summer 2021 in our human resources department in Yarmouth, ME (will have work-from-home hours as well).
This internship will focus on Tyler’s recruiting programs, and will help us recruit and hire IT, finance, security and marketing internship candidates at local and national colleges. You will also get exposure to other areas of human resources, including employee onboarding, data analytics, and payroll.
The ideal candidate will be a rising senior with an interest in recruiting / talent acquisition / marketing. During the spring semester, the schedule will be 15-20 hours per week, working around your class schedule. Summertime hours can be 20-30 per week
As a part of Tyler’s corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector.

Responsibilities
- Develop and/or edit job postings for Tyler internships and full time openings.
- Post internships on job boards throughout the country.
- Monitor candidate flow, review resumes and suggest candidates to be interviewed.
- Speak with prospective internship candidates over the phone and in person.
- Work with hiring managers to schedule interviews and determine finalists.
- Check candidate references.
- Conduct new hire orientations and act as a resource for new employees.
- Conduct buddy-program orientation meetings and review/present data analytics regarding onboarding program results.
- Provide administrative and data entry support around recruiting, payroll, and HR personnel and compliance filing.
Qualifications
- An interest in a career in human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition
- Prior marketing and/or business classes
- High level of comfort with speaking to strangers at job fairs, via video calls and/or over the phone
- Strong Microsoft Word skills, including Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a willingness to learn/do public speaking for small groups
- Ability to work effectively with a team of professionals at all levels of the company on business issues
- Project management and/or calendaring experience is a plus
