As a Cloud Engineer Intern, you will report to the Technical Training Program Manager. You will begin your journey at Mission by attending a robust training program aimed at preparing you to work with Mission Cloud Engineering teams. You will work with technologies such as Linux, Windows, AWS, Python, and Devops tooling. At the end of your internship, you will be prepared to become a full-time cloud engineer on one of our engineering teams.

Internships pay $20 an hour and interns work between 20-30 hours per week. Internships are training intensive and last between 4-6 months, with room for extensions.

This internship will begin on February 7, 2022.

This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Attend engineering training with the Technical Training Program Manager
• Complete labs and assignments
• Shadow engineers on shifts and projects; ask questions and try to solve problems
• Work on the Cloud Operations team to respond to customer tickets and troubleshoot AWS environments
• Work on the Consulting Services teams to learn how to build AWS infrastructure and use Devops tools
• Work towards AWS certification

We are looking for:

• You have a basic understanding of what the Cloud is and the benefits of Cloud technology
• You have a foundational understanding of Linux. This means that you are: Comfortable working within the CLI, Comfortable with text editing tools such as nano, vi, vim, and Familiar with package management tools such as yum and apt-get
• You have passion for solving puzzles and troubleshooting
• Experience with or formal study of Cloud Services, compute, storage, or networking is strongly desired
