The CRM Marketing Intern will be responsible for managing the day to day engagement with the Scotts Miracle-Gro’s subscriber base. They will do this through the email and push notification channels and will interface with digital marketing, brand teams, direct to consumer platforms and various agencies.

This role is the heartbeat of our direct engagement with consumers. Through email and push this role has the responsibility to connect with consumers on relevant topics, drive meaningful value for the consumer, and build a loyal consumer base for Scotts Miracle-Gro.

The CRM Marketing Intern will report to the CRM Manager and will work closely with the digital team, content team, the ecommerce team, the business intelligence team, and brand and marketing services teams.

Over the course of 12 weeks you will work on meaningful projects and have opportunities to learn from industry leaders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in executing the day to day build, quality checks, and send of emails and push notifications

  • Helps ideate and execute personalization tactics

  • Takes part in meetings and reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Builds tickets for brand specific campaign guidelines in Monday.com

  • Will work closely with the media, social, website, and other teams/agencies in the optimization of conversion activities.

  • Partners with CRM team to pull metric reports, analyze data and communicate out insights to stakeholders

  • Partners with the brand teams to ensure regional messaging has the right products and messaging

  • Will work with the other CRM Intern on a summer-long project

  • Other tasks as assigned

We’re seeking candidates that are/have:

  • Actively working towards a degree in Marketing, Communication, Design, Strategy, or Business from an accredited college, university, or trade school. Juniors and seniors preferred but any candidate can apply if they feel they meet the role’s responsibilities and criteria

  • Prior internship experience preferred but not required

  • Experience collaborating and problem solving with multiple stakeholders and teams on projects

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Digitally savvy and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in ecommerce

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Some experience with CRM tools like Salesforce, Constant Contact or Mail Chimp preferred but not required

  • Some experience with a project management system like Monday, BaseCamp, Jira, Confluence, or Asana preferred but not required
