The Role at a Glance:
We are excited to bring on a Corporate Treasury Intern to join our 2022 Summer cohort.
As a Finance Intern you will work closely with our Capital Planning team. This highly visible team works closely with other teams in Finance and across the organization to lead the company’s efforts to manage its capital position across multiple frameworks (e.g. GAAP, Statutory, and Rating Agency) under a wide range of scenarios and allocate excess capital to the highest and best use. The team also leads multiple enterprise wide initiatives to implement opportunities to improve capital management and/or evaluate and respond to regulatory initiatives affecting the company’s capital position.
What you'll be doing:
  • Assist with rating agency surveys and information requests and support quarterly earnings process and other reporting requests
  • Help implement process improvements to rating agency survey process and/or internal reporting on capital position
  • Assist with analysis and management of holding company cash position
  • Draft presentations summarizing quantitative and qualitative information (e.g. actual and projected financial results) visually (using tables and graphs) and in writing

What we’re looking for:
Must-haves:
  • College rising- junior or senior
  • Must have availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between the dates of June 6, 2022 – August 5, 2022
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice-to-haves:
  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal and/or external clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with financial markets and financial instruments (e.g. stocks, bonds, derivatives) and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
