The Talent Acquisition team is in the process of scaling the organization by over 300 hundred employees in support of the Federal Infrastructure Bill. This is an exciting time to get in on the ground floor of this unprecedented growth. This position affords a generous remote work schedule as the Talent Acquisition team comes in 2-4 times a month (subject to change based on agency needs).
Position Summary
As a junior recruiter you will play a pivotal role in the candidate onboarding experience and in many cases will be being the first point of HR contact. You will be tasked with the scheduling and coordination of interviews, assist with written and verbal communications with candidates and hiring managers throughout the interview process, conduct reference checks and work to with the rest of the Talent Acquisition team to ensure non selection letters are sent out in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining job boards and assists with sourcing candidates and working on internal promotions, work with our Human Resources Business Intelligence (HRBI) team to create and run various talent tracking reports. To succeed in this role, you will need to be detail oriented, be an excellent communicator with internal and external clients of all levels and possess strong time management skills along with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide overall administrative support to the talent acquisition team, including maintaining and processing of documentation and records.
- Point of contact for on-boarding, including but not limited to initiating new hire process and orientation, and liaising with other departments to ensure a smooth transition.
- Respond to all Labor Relations, Union and/or Public Information requests by providing documentation.
- Coordinate the hiring of temporary employees with the contracted external staffing agency.
- Coordinate the civil service hiring process for labor/maintenance positions.
- Support and maintain the transfer log in partnership with the HR Operations Service Center.
- Coordinate the participation of and meetings with external Talent Acquisition partner organizations.
- Conduct reference checks.
- Research, analyze, and prepare hiring statistics for board meetings.
- Assist as a team member on HR process improvement projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience scheduling interviews or coordinating meetings.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Experience with detailed reporting and tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft products including word, one note, excel and power point.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with ambiguity.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
At least two years of full-time or equivalent part-time, professional or paraprofessional experience in a human resources field such as classification/job analysis, staffing, Civil Rights, and diversity, test development and validation, labor relations, or benefits administration.
Substitutions:
A Bachelor's or higher degree may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience.
One year of education equals 30 semester hours. Education toward a degree will be prorated on the basis of proportion of the requirements actually completed.
