Job Description

We're currently looking for a Frontend Engineer well versed in micro frontend frameworks to join our rapidly growing team. You'll be working with a group of diverse designers, developers, operations managers, and attorneys, all of whom share a passion for building beautifully designed products and making complex processes user friendly.

As our Frontend Engineer, you will work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure we deliver the most user-friendly product possible. In this role, you will improve upon—as well as build new components for—the UI for our users.

Responsibilities include

• Build the web components, design system, and UI infrastructure for Vanilla’s user interface
• Simplify and solve complex problems into elegant component patterns
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Skilled with common front-end technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, React, or TypeScript.
• Attention to detail, especially around design, accessibility, performance, and security
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
