Pharmacy Intern-Reimbursement + Drug Information Research
What will you be Doing:
Are you currently pursuing your Doctor of Pharmacy? Are you interested in working with Premier’s Alternate Site Pharmacy and Group Purchasing Organization Pharmacy? If so, Premier, Inc. is looking for an ambitious Pharmacy Intern to join our team this summer.
During our internship, students become a contributing member of the team working on meaningful projects that provide an opportunity to build their resume and have measurable success on key deliverables. Each student is paired with a Supervisor and Mentor to guide their professional development through the summer. In addition to exposure within their department, students will have ongoing virtual lunch and learns, and social events to learn more about Premier, and the healthcare industry.
As our Pharmacy intern, you will gain a basic understanding of the Premier clinical pharmacy program through time spent with preceptors in the contracting and specialty areas. This internship will work with our Clinical Pharmacy Team in the alternate sites of care(i.e.; Long Term Care, home infusion, etc. classes of trade). In addition, this position will be assigned one or more projects to be completed during the summer internship.
Candidates must be a Doctor of Pharmacy Student entering or in the 6th Year of Study.

Preferred Qualifications
Relevant Experience to include:
Hospital or Long Term Care pharmacy ideally or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Previous experience in healthcare, business, or finance
Demonstrated interest in healthcare supply chain
Demonstrated capability to lead and show value from their efforts
Education:
Pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.

Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $43,000 - $79,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
