About the Role:
We are CrowdStrike, a fast-growing security company that protects our wide range of customers from cybersecurity attacks. We’re investing in technical project managers who are energetic, eager to learn, flexible, and capable of managing large scale/complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate:
As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Data Science Team, whose mission is to provide malware detection capabilities for our customers through the continuous evolution of machine learning models. Your primary focus will be driving the continuous improvement process for our production feature extraction (FX) engines including performance baselining, measuring and documenting improvements related to each process iteration in addition to scheduling, scoping, execution and coordinating these work increments with appropriate stakeholders. You’ll work directly with data scientists, data engineers, threat analysts and managers on the team as well as other engineers, product, project and program managers across the company including functional teams to collaborate and ensure dependencies are well known, critical issues are identified and driven to resolution.
Responsibilities:
Measures detection performance improvements related to each production FX engine and compares to established baseline on a recurring basis. The number of production FX engines steadily increases as dozens of experimental FX engines transition to production after demonstrating operational utility.
Gathers inputs from multiple stakeholders for FX improvement work prioritization in a highly collaborative and empathetic environment.
Leads FX engine improvement process meetings and creates meeting minutes/action items including decisions about work prioritization.
Documents and drives projects schedules, tracks and manages task assignments, reports on schedule progress, dependencies and obstacles. Projects range in scale from one person for one week to a dozen people on half a dozen teams, phased over several quarters.
Collaborates with staff and management of multiple worldwide business units (including subject matter experts, design teams, and technology teams) to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their project involvement, project goals, expectations, and tasks.
Tracks the status of project activities and ensures that schedules and priorities are being met.
Ensures critical issues are identified, tracked through resolution, and escalated if necessary.

Demonstrates the ability to discuss tasks with employees in a manner which gives guidance and best practices but does not dictate implementation.
Key Qualifications:
Experience working in a program/project management capacity and understanding of feedback loops/processes to effectively drive improvement process. Science and engineering are the most obvious fields for candidates to come from, but don’t hesitate to apply if you’re an expert cat-herder from some other problem domain.
