Hexagon US Federal, Inc. is seeking an intern to support across our proposal team within our corporate Program Management Office (PMO). The candidate should be completing their undergraduate degree and have at least one year of work experience. The candidate will work across our team to support business leaders responding to large government solicitations. This role will provide candidates an opportunity to learn about federal government contracting, how to prepare and respond to government solicitations, and provide exposure to the vast technology and services Hexagon US Federal has to offer.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to prepare for future bids
    . Work with the PMO to conduct market research and analyze data in anticipation of bids. Learn how to use Federal procurement tools for bid research (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS). This includes finding historical data on bids, identifying business partners capabilities for rounding out bid teams, and attending industry events where large multi- and single-award contracts are being briefed. Summarize data for the PMO to leverage while preparing for bids and contribute to team's preparation of color team briefings, findings, reports, conclusions and recommendations. Provide clear oral and written explanations of assigned tasks, relevant issues, analytic approach, and results.

  • Develop content for future/current bid planning
    . Work with PMO to assemble a reusable body of content from existing bids, review live solicitations to create templates and outlines for live bids based on government requirements, and learn about different pricing strategies and assist with pricing model development. Provide assistance to proposal managers and/or senior staff on preparation of proposal for new and follow-on work.

Qualifications:
  • Working towards a BA/BS degree
  • One year of work experience post high school
  • Ability to prioritize work and independently seek out relevant information
  • Ability to plan, organize and sequence work against a clearly defined approach and timeline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with executives, senior leadership, individual contributors, industry colleagues, and customers
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Requirements:
  • The student must be a regular, full-time college student and be registered and eligible to participate in the cooperative education or internship program of the applicable university or college.
  • To be considered for co-op or internship employment, a student must have completed a minimum of one semester of two years of study and be pursing a degree in an applicable course of study relevant to Hexagon US Federal
  • It is required that participating students be citizens of the United States prior to entering the program.
  • While participating in any Hexagon US Federal co-op/intern employment, it is preferred a student maintain an overall 3.0 grade point average or better.
