About the Company and Human Resources Internship Opportunity:
This client is located in Bethel. They’re a non-profit that is dedicated to empowering every person, no matter their ability. They’re currently seeking a vibrant and outgoing, individual who is looking to join a collaborative office environment. The schedule would be 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday.
This person will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager and will support the Human Resources Department in recruitment and day to day operations.
THIS ROLE WILL BE 100% REMOTE! CLIENT WILL PROVIDE EQUIPMENT (computer, phone, etc.)

Responsibilities:
- Assists with screening resumes and applications for direct care positions. Follows up with candidates regarding incomplete applications and other discrepancies as needed.
- Follows established processes and/or policies to bring candidates from applicant to on boarding. Follows through with applicants through completion of the process.
- Coordinates with Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist to schedule initial interviews conducted with Recruiters. Enters applicant-tracking data into Human Resources Information System and Indeed tracking forms. Ensures all applicant data is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handles all applicant inquiries and triages to the appropriate Recruiting staff when necessary. Proactively brings forth applicant discrepancies and assists in problem-solving for said issue. Reviews billing for drug screen and physicals to ensure accuracy.
- Supports full background checks for both CT and NY candidates.
- Assists with personal and business references, criminal background checks, educational history, drug screening, etc.
- Serves as a liaison for new hires during Monday Orientation, taking new hire pictures and making sure folders are complete. Produces identification badges for new and existing employees.
Requirements:
High school degree or equivalency would be required along with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Some college preferred - ideally someone currently pursuing degree in HR, Psychology, Communications or similar/applicable field.
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task are required.
Must have strong technology skills.
Previous experience in, or understand of the importance of, dealing with confidential material and information is required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of Human Resources information systems is a plus.
