Role Purpose:

In this internship position, incumbent will be trained to perform data research activities regarding pharmaceutical sales and prescription activity

Principle Accountabilities:

Analyzes trends to monitor accuracy and completeness of highly visible therapeutic market data

Research and analyze market events that require an understanding of IQVIA's offerings

Manipulate and transform data to optimize analyses leveraging Microsoft Excel and PowerBI

Prepare summaries for proactive communication to internal departments

Interact with internal support teams to gather and interpret the information necessary to provide a comprehensive resolution and response

Produce data sets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools

Gather findings and summarize into a concise, informative, and insightful PowerPoint presentation

Present research results orally and/or through written communications

Use appropriate judgement to communicate results within confidentiality guidelines

Work collaboratively to create development workshop benefitting department on assigned topic, including content creation and workshop facilitation

Assist with additional ongoing projects including enhancing department resources

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

Students working towards a Bachelor’s degree – Statistics, Economics, Business, or Math degrees desirable

Experience extracting, manipulating and interpreting data trends

Previous experience using Microsoft software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access)

Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and an understanding of the marketplace is beneficial, but not required
