About the role:

Babel Street is looking for self-motivated individual to take on new challenges and help support the company through their knowledge and specialized skills to implement technical solutions and provide quality support.

During this journey:

• SQL server backup and restore
• Database performance troubleshooting
• Procedural documentation
• High Availability Experience
• Available for off hours support
• Transparent Data Encryption
• Database optimization
• T-SQL (stored procedures/function)
• Suggest and implement database best practices and standards.

Skills you will need for the journey:

• Scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
• Server / storage knowledge
• Ability to work in face based, dynamic, environment
• Ability to review existing business processes in order to improve efficiency, quality, and efficacy of services.
• Ability to work concurrently on projects of varying size/scope, complexity, and duration
• Interact with DevOps and developer personnel, to define and resolve systems-related problems.

Education & Experience:

• Degree in IT related field preferred
• 2+ years MySQL experience
• AWS Cloud computing experience
• Experience with Large Data sets

Additional Information:

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• U.S. Remote work opportunity, with roughly 5% needed travel for team events and collaboration sessions
