Marketing Intern – Part-Time

The MOTOR Marketing team promotes the company’s products, manages its digital presence, communicates its brand values, performs market research and organizes employee events.

We have an immediate opening for an intern to support the efforts of MOTOR’s marketing team. In this role you will use a variety of tools including WordPress, Google and Microsoft Office Suite.

This is a part-time, temporary position with a duration of three months or more. Work will be conducted remotely; however, it may be a requirement to report to, and work from, our Troy, Michigan headquarters on occasion.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in developing strategies to increase size of online audience
• Contribute to the selection of topics, creation and management of the content calendar
• Research background information from multiple digital sources and in-person interviews
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for new client acquisition
• Append prospect lists with e-mail address, website address and other pertinent contact information using various tools: e.g., ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Google search
• Manage sales prospect lists in Salesforce.com
• Participate in content dissemination on company website and social media
• Prepare and manage freelance writer contracts
  

Required Qualifications

• Ability to adjust and manage fixed publication deadlines
• Ability to perform market research using social media and internet search engines
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in journalism or creative writing
• Experience in art, photography, graphic design or advertising
• Strong skills with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office
• Passion for all things automotive
