Job summary/overview
As a DevOps Engineer intern, you will assist in build and deployment pipeline development, resolving issues and automating the release process. You will closely work with developers and quality engineers in improving the release and deployment processes. You will be involved in tools migration and validation process. You will document and give a presentation of what you have accomplished during your internship.
Essential duties/responsibilities
- Supporting the developers and quality engineers in build / deployment issues
- Developing tools for release automation
- Upgrading the environment with the latest release
- Monitoring release tools in on-prem / cloud
- Creating CI / CD pipeline
- Preparing the packages for the release
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.
Job requirements and qualifications
Education:
- Perusing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising junior, senior or enrolled in master’s level education status at the start of the internship
- (Masters preferred)
- 3.0 GPA
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
AWS Certification Preferred
Experience:
- Working knowledge of patterns and of configuration tools such as Ansible, Salt, puppet. Ansible knowledge preferred
- Development experience writing scripting using java, python or Ruby. Perl is a Plus
- Experience in distributed systems and strong Linux shell scripting. Micro Soft power shell a plus

- Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
