Takeda's summer internship program blends real world experience with an extensive overview of the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience. The summer internship program is 12 weeks in length and offers a unique perspective into a world-class pharmaceutical company. Our internship program also provides you the opportunity to network with people at Takeda through various planned events and activities.
Project Outline:
The Bleeding Disorders HCP Marketing team is seeking an Omnichannel Marketing Intern who will audit, research, and continually improve our omnichannel presence. The role will support a growth brand during an exciting time in its lifecycle, following a recent new indication launch. As the organization is prioritizing the development of a robust and personalized omnichannel ecosystem, the intern will work closely with the HCP Marketing team to develop the right message for the right HCP at the right time. They will also develop tactical dashboards to ensure post-launch efforts are performing optimally, as well as offer input on opportunities for improvement as needed.
Given the ever-evolving COVID landscape and how it has increased consumption online, the Omnichannel Marketing Intern will focus on ensuring that the content we “show up with” online is a current, effective, and engaging way to communicate with HCPs in the von Willebrand Disease (VWD) space. They will research what “best in class” content and innovation look like for branded websites, rep-triggered communications, programming, conference presence, media placements, etc. Simultaneously, this intern will learn the brands: our communication goals, our target list, our segmentation, the market space, our goals, and any key events during which monitoring the VWD space will be key (competitive launches, new indications, new guidelines, new data). Next, he/she will audit against our current omnichannel initiatives, presence, and strategy, and identify opportunities for improvement or evolution follow a recent indication launch of a growth brand. These recommendations can then be cascaded down into tactics for each customer type within varying digital or social media channels. This role will optimize customer’s take-aways, allow them to provide better care to their patients.
This position will report to the HCP Marketer and work cross-functionally with digital marketing, field force effectiveness, analytics, research, legal, and external CRM and media agencies.

- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and analytics
- Experience in brand messaging and aligning to a communication strategy
- Ability to translate market trends and consumer needs/insights to strategy
What you bring to Takeda:
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
- Must be available full time (40 hours/week) a minimum of 12 weeks during the Summer months
- Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0

Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD, MD student with at least one year of university studies before internship.
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA required
- Return to university for at least one semester post-internship
- 1 year of marketing or pharmaceutical experience
- Digital marketing experience preferred
- HCP marketing experience preferred
- Takeda does not provide student housing or housing stipends

Location & Salary Information:
- Summer 2022 Internship role may be remote or hybrid based
- Intern pay rate ranges are from $18/hour to $45/hour, depending on students level in their undergraduate or graduate program and level professional experience
