Communities Intern
GitHub Communities
Who We Are
Our department’s mission is to give GitHub’s communities of makers the ability to find their people, create with them, scale, and sustain rewarding work.
We’re a group of around 40 engineers, designers, and product managers, working together on products like GitHub Discussions, GitHub Sponsors, GitHub Feed, and GitHub Profile. Our customers are open-source maintainers and contributors, and many of us have personally maintained and contributed to open-source projects!
We celebrate our achievements often, and believe that we can build better things when we work in a sustainable way, with a little whimsy added to keep things fun. We regularly have department-wide events including Town Halls, Launch Parties, impromptu Jackbox Games, as well as retrospectives to help us find ways to work more effectively in the future.
