The Product manager graduate intern will work with the Forge, LMI’s technology accelerator and innovation hub & the Business Transformation Service Line to support a team of designers, engineers, and developers responsible for creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance web-based applications and products for LMI and its federal government clients. This position will be the product management owner for defining strategy and product vision. The Product manager graduate intern will lead a product team to develop new features, scope and prioritize customer requirements, and develop successful prototypes and products that delight customers. This role will define, execute, and deliver a product roadmap. This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with technical experts and business executives to deliver robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities:
The Product manager graduate intern will:
  • Shape and develop prototypes to assess product design and technical feasibility; use the outcomes of prototypes to drive further development of products or offerings
  • Develop product strategy vision and roadmaps, and prioritize feature development based on customer demands
  • Generate buy-in for product vision with both senior leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into clear, concise user stories that lead to product specifications and architecture for applications
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers, full-stack engineers, developers, and program management to enable service offerings and capabilities
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues, and work with product operations administrators to meet programmatic, financial, and technical goals
  • Plan for the full product lifecycle, including innovation, prototyping, development, and sustainment
  • Develop UX/UI goals, specify clear requirements, and work with engineering teams to deliver quality user experiences
  • Work with business development, markets, and service lines to develop go-to-market strategies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, technology, computer science, or related discipline
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program
  • Must be able to work for a minimum of 5 hours per week for the Spring semester
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Minimum 1 year of product management or related product lifecycle experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technically adept and business-focused to interface across technical disciplines and senior leadership
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, independent and self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and providing structure for engineering teams
