Responsibilities:

The Wealth Management Intern collaborates with the National Training and Development team to establish key training initiatives for a vast audience of financial professionals. A few key projects that the Financial Professional Intern will be working on are below:

  • Participate in and provide support for our core 5-Step Process curriculum and multi-week virtual training experiences, prospecting bootcamps, and weekly touchpoints that transform how new Advisors learn the business in their first four years.
  • Assist with the execution of our ongoing Client Acquisition Series, focused on providing new Advisors with fresh, proven ideas on who to call and what to say.
  • Help propel national Video Coach initiative by driving adoption and providing support to Field Leaders.
  • Continually brainstorm and leverage modern technology to create follow up activities for all National training touchpoints to keep learning alive long after a touchpoint has passed.

As a Wealth Management Intern, you will …

LEARN: Take part in weekly Zoom/Team meetings along with attending our various training series

DEVELOP: Receive coaching and on-going feedback from our team of Learning & Development Coaches

COLLABORATE: Work closely on group or individual projects

GIVE BACK: Make a difference in the lives of others by supporting Equitable Advisors efforts to help clients secure their financial wellbeing

Internship Dates: June 6, 2022 through August 12, 2022


Qualifications


Skills required to ensure your success include:

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to in a wide variety of situations.
  • Teamwork: Belief in the necessity and value of teamwork; experience working cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.
  • Communication: Understanding the importance of insightful listening and communicating along with the ability to provide information and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Continuous Learning: Understanding of the rationale behind the necessity to continually learn and grow and the ability to seek performance feedback and identify approaches to improve own performance and that of others.
  • Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any major from an accredited program (Class of 2023) preferred.
  • Available to work the entirety of the 10-week summer internship program in 2022.
  • Strong interest in becoming a Financial Professional preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and interest in Marketing and/or Sales through your academics, extra-curricular activities, or professional/volunteer work preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Photoshop, graphic design and/or video editing preferred.
  • Flexible/Adaptable – ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and respond to change in a positive manner.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrates commitment, dedication, and desire to be highly engaged in working with Financial Professionals.
  • High degree of professionalism; inclusive and collaborative work style.
