Intern Project Responsibilities:
- Robot maintenance (Electronic, Mechanical)
- Test fixture construction (Electronic, Mechanical)
- Test data processing, mining and reporting
- Writing test procedures
- Test, measure and analyze robot performance and reliability
- Write test scripts and software tools (Python)
- Build communication network between robots and test server
- Automating repetitive tasks
- Learn database construction and management
- 5S Reliability Lab
- Other misc. tasks
Preferred Degree Programs/Skills/Unique Capabilities:
Candidate should have completed at least sophomore year of one of the following degrees:
- BSEE (Electrical Engineering) degree
- BSME (Mechanical Engineering) degree
- BSCS (Computer Science) degree
Candidate should have a willingness to learn, be a self-starter and be willing to take on challenges. Tasks involve working alone, working with others, working with robots, computers, and test equipment.
Intern Key Deliverables:
Interns have and will be key to developing new test and automation equipment used by engineering to quickly and accurately collect and process test data, which is key to product development, quality and reliability.
What Corporate/Team objectives would these projects support?
Corporate goal objectives involve: Quality (zero defects initiative), Cost (reduce cost of test while increase data collection capabilities), Value (improve products through characterization of data collected) and Speed (collect and process more data faster and report results in real time)
How will we measure project performance/impact?
Performance will be measured several ways. Projects completed. Project impact on corporate objectives. Communications skills. Time management skills. Interns will be trained in these areas and performance will be measured based on utilization of their training.
