SAIC is currently looking to hire Junior Telecom Engineering Specialist to support the RITS team in a remote capacity!
About the Program: The USACE RITS contract will provide modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. Services will support the mission needs of USACE’s Headquarters (HQs) located in Washington, D.C., nine Divisions and 43 Districts, to include over 1,500 field and area project offices and two data centers that are currently located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hillsboro, Oregon.
Responsibilities Include:
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains telecommunications equipment
- Monitors, dispatches, and re-routes tickets within ticketing system
- Monitors and provides reports on system utilization, trunking and port optimization
- Responsible for gathering and maintaining switch database for pool locations
- Provides and maintains support for Avaya Communication Manager
- Provides hardware and software revision management support
- Tests trunks and links
- Implements enterprise-wide project plans and/or modification as directed
- Provides and keeps current detailed documentation of processes
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School and 1-2 years of related experience with certification
Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting with the ability to obtain a full Secret Clearance
Certifications: Any Cisco certifications are desired
Required Skills:
- Basic MS Excel spreaksheet skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with telecommunication equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of Service Now ITSM tool is a plus

Target salary range: $25,001 - $50,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
