As a Customer Success Intern, you will develop and expand your current skill set, applying what you have learned to the day-to-day operations of the Customer Success organization. You will work cross functionally to understand transactional and behavioral patterns which drive decision making. You will have a direct impact on the customer experience by ensuring the Customer Success team have the processes and data they need to ensure high customer satisfaction and value.

The VMware Carbon Black Cloud consolidates endpoint protection and IT operations into an endpoint protection platform (EPP) that prevents advanced threats, provides actionable insight and enables businesses of all sizes to simplify operations. By analyzing billions of security events per day across the globe, VMware Carbon Black has key insights into attackers’ behaviors, enabling customers to detect, respond to and stop emerging attacks.

What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

We are looking for an analytical, self-starter who can translate data into trends and actionable insights. You are organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up style environment. You will partner with the Customer Success team as well as other primary business functions to analyze and identify areas of improvement. You are excited to help VMware Customer Success Operations lead the way to help our teams deliver value realization to our customers.

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals you will work toward completing?

Understand the basics of Customer Success Operations and develop Customer Success expertise:

  • Complete a well-organized onboarding plan to better understand the Security space and related Customer Success goals
  • Build your own knowledge of Customer Success best practices and KPIs
  • Work closely with Customer Success Operation teams to provide day-to-day operational support for the VMware Carbon Black Customer Success team
  • Consult with the key functions of Customer Success to understand unique needs and ensure alignment across the organization

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As part of VMware Carbon Black’s Customer Success organization, you will:

  • Perform regular data analysis and present key findings to Customer Success leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies within the Customer Success organization
  • Assist with analyzing and reporting on customer programs to internal stakeholders
  • Participate in special projects and teams to drive business objectives and process standardization
  • Contribute towards the development of a strong team environment by upholding high work standards
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships

The location is remote, with a preference of being located in Boston, MA. Or of those in EST or CST time zones.
