Intern, Content Marketing (Summer 2022)
Conduct research and analyze campaign data to recommend a content marketing strategy to drive trade-ins during the final year of the Autodesk transition to named user program .
Position Overview
For decades, Autodesk was known for selling its software as perpetual licens es , identifying customers as serial numbers, not people. That is, until 2016, when we announced the discontinuation of perpetual licenses in favor of subscription . Since then, we’ve learned that we can deliver more personal, relevant experiences and insights when we know who our customers are .
I n May of 2020, to complete the final phase of our transition to subscription , Autodesk launched new subscription plans based on people and announced the retirement of plans based on serial numbers . In doing so, we provided trade-in offers to help our customers transition. Today, most Autodesk customers access our software on a named user subscription plan, but we still have a significant customer base who have not yet transitioned.
As we approach our final year of the trade -i n program, we are looking for a Content Marketing Intern to provide new insight s , creative ideas, and modern ways to drive trade-ins. This project will be completed over a 12-week period and will help you develop marketing, communications, and research skills . Your work will inform our marketing strategy for the remainder of the program.
Responsibilities
Your role:
Benchmark B2B industry peers and other B2B/B2C companies to fully understand their campaign strategy around similar “final year” program s
Collaborate with the campaign team to i dentify which marketing techniques, assets (internal and external), and channels have performed the best to date.
Synthesize and summarize this data – including:
Key messages
Voice & tone
Content format
Digital channels for distribution
Analyze customer sentiment in online communities and forums. Use this information to pinpoint potential gap areas for content development.
Brainstorm how we can use video or other forms of media to create new resources.
Determine key performance indicators and how to measure them with existing or new tools .
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time student at an accredited program in the United States, with at least one academic term to complete post internship to be eligible for internship participation.
Someone who is an excellent writer, communicator, and researcher. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, time manage, and think critically.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Cloud and/or other design tools a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Majoring in Marketing, Communications, or English.
Experience conducting and synthesizing primary research, exposure and/or interest in B2B technology, and completion of a communications/marketing internship.
About the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
