Summary
The Recruiter, Intern and Military Programs conducts the day to day activities for our intern and military hiring and placements in alignment with the company’s values, culture, and overall strategy as an employer of choice. This role is responsible for recruitment and placement for all programs and aimed at attracting and retaining diverse and top college/university and military talent for internships, co-ops, fellowships, and other limited duration positions within Allegiant. The Recruiter reports to the Manager, Intern and Military Programs.

The Recruiter screens and interviews across all related programs, in addition, attending exclusive events, networking opportunities, professional development, exposure to the larger organization, and placement assistance for full time roles. This position will have a primary focus on intern pathways and will also strengthen current military recruitment efforts.

Travel will be required to support the intern and military program events as needed.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Years of Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of experience recruiting intern and/or military hiring programs.

  • Experience with creating talent pipelines via social media, LinkedIn, Handshake, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS/ATS systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
  • Experience in conducting training including creating, overseeing, and delivering on-the job training.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated & team oriented.

Preferred Requirements
  • UKG Pro, Lever and Handshake experience.

Job Duties
  • Posts position openings and sources for applicants via various niche job sites (i.e. Handshake, college career boards, military bases job boards, etc.).
  • Screens applicants, conducts interviews and performs skills-based assessment as needed.
  • Attends in-person and virtual college and military career events.
  • Reports on recruiting metrics including career events, intern/military hiring statistics.
  • Partners with Hiring Managers, Directors and VPs to forecast and coordinate hiring needs.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to numerous People Services disciplines during the recruitment process.
  • Benefits/Insurance/Medical Plans/401K etc.
  • People Services issues (ADA/ Affirmative Action/EEOC/Drug & Alcohol Program).
  • Training programs offered by Company.
  • Allegiant statistics (# of aircraft/cities/profitability/culture).
  • Works with Manager, Intern and Military Programs, to conduct meaningful ongoing feedback loop for Intern and military program hires including formal and informal methods to enhance performance and identify High Potential (HIPO) participants targeted for conversion to full time offers.
  • Delivers outstanding experiences for our program participants and strategic partners and conducts periodic surveys for continuous improvement feedback.
  • Oversees referral program, including managing metrics and communications.
  • Partners with Employment Services to ensure all pre-hire and onboarding items are timely and accurate and contribute to an excellent candidate experience.
  • Models Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions, understand and apply our customer commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate
  • Demonstrates understanding, support and contributes to the People Services Culture by embodying it in all interactions, internally and externally, and takes ownership for continuous improvement. As a leader, holds Team Members accountable for embodying the People Services Culture.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.

COVID-19 Vaccination National Mandate
Allegiant requires new team members to complete a record in Allegiant’s Vaccination Tracking Tool within 48 hours of receiving the notification via company email immediately after being hired.
