Intern, Software Engineer - Enterprise Data Mgmt

Position Overview

As a Summer 2022 Software Engineer intern, you will join one of the teams developing business critical data pipelines. In this role, you will be part of an agile team to (re)imagine what is possible. You’ll be helping our team design and implement cloud-based Enterprise Data Management (EDM) (micro)services and other software components using modern best practices. EDM services include data enrichment services (organizations & persons), consent preference management, and more.

The ideal candidate is a programmer who thinks creatively , is highly collaborative, curious and has a passion for developing software with cutting edge features that are far reaching and have real impact.

Responsibilities

With the support and guidance of the engineering team:

  • Maintaining and supporting existing APIs, data pipelines, and systems using Python, SQL , and other backend programming frameworks and languages

  • Building and configuring infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and Cloud F ormation

  • Testing implementations to guarantee they perform to specifications and requirements

  • Ability to work in a n agile , collaborative team environment

  • Excellent communication, presentation , and interpersonal skills

Technologies the intern may be exposed to:

  • ETL tools: Astronomer Airflow, DBT, SQL, Fivetran , Snowflake

  • AWS services: L ambda, E vent B ridge , SQS, DynamoDB, Cloud W atch

  • Programming frameworks and languages: Python, Node

  • Enterprise tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, Slack


Typical Qualifications

Must be at least 18 and enrolled in college or non-traditional education, such as coding boot camps or industry-related vocational classes and returning back to school or program following the completion of this internship.

A mix of previous internship, school project, volunteer and leadership experience is also important


About the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in intern events such as tech talks, mentoring, fun events, and more.

US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes at the end of March.
