What You’ll Get to Do:
This position will provide the intern with a broad experience of how software quality assurance is implemented on a large Federal Agile project. The CACI WBSCM project is a mature supply chain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) maintenance and upgrade project that will expose an intern to the software development, testing and quality assurance processes needed for high quality delivery. QA metrics show that our project has consistently delivered monthly software updates over 97% defect free. The intern will gain extensive knowledge of the overall project management processes, Agile development methodology and associated quality processes including surveillance, metrics management, and process improvement initiatives for software design, development, and testing.

More About the Role:

  • The quality staff defines, develops, and maintains quality processes and standards in alignment with the corporate project delivery framework, which supports industry best practices that incorporate ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ISO 2700, CMMI®, PMBOK, and ITIL processes.
  • The QA Engineer will objectively evaluate and ensure compliance to these standards, contract requirements and project processes through inspection, review, monthly audits of the release process, and lessons learned - all with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • The QA staff is also responsible for the management of the deliverable process including deliverable scheduling, quality reviews of numerous deliverable documents and work products as well as the development, maintenance and reporting of contract Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) measurements and additional performance metrics as needed.
  • The quality assurance engineer, under minimal supervision, will be working alongside seasoned SAP and Salesforce experts to support building of flexible, scalable architectures and high-performance solutions that meet the customer’s goals and objectives.

  • Ability to review details of technical documentation for improvements in clarity and accuracy.
  • Basic Mathematical and statistical analysis experience.
  • Microsoft Word - Focus on Technical Writing.
  • Microsoft Excel - Focus on Data Analysis and Presentation with Charts.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint - Focus on Consistency of Presentation and Unifying Message.
  • Microsoft Outlook Email - Focus on Concise Communication with Tracking and Follow Through.

Must currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate Student.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance.

  • Agile and Waterfall Project Management Methodologies.

If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in or related field is preferred, not required.

Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required.

Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $34,100-$68,200. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
