Training and Communications Intern-Summer 2022
The WBSCM Organizational Change Management (OCM) team is seeking a Training and Communications Intern. As an OCM Intern, you will help build multimedia training solutions in collaboration with experienced technical trainers and Subject Matter experts and develop engaging articles and info letters to communicate with our diverse 7000+ end users across the nation and abroad. You will gain experience in the instructional design, development, and quality assurance process for technical end user training and communication for large SAP-based supply chain management system. You will gain exposure to the procurement and fulfillment processes of the food supply chain lifecycle. Throughout your internship, you will assist your team and the business by creating training programs that will engage team members from start to finish. You will also research and recommend new and innovative learning solutions that meets our Customer needs.
Primary location of this position is Herndon, VA, with the ability to work remotely.
They will report to the OCM Manager.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Design and develop engaging content to development standards using appropriate ISD methodology
Collaborate with trainers on improvements to learning products, maintain/edit training materials
Develop content utilizing content accelerator tools such as uPerform or Camtasia
Help with research and analysis projects; analyze large amounts of data and develop executive summary
Explore, evaluate, recommend, plan, develop and pilot new technologies
Collaborate and communicate with team members and subject matter experts in visual, oral and written forms
Develop communication articles and help craft release communications
Contribute towards other special projects/initiatives
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Pursuing Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Training or Education, Instructional Design, Human Computer Interaction, Technical Communications, Marketing, or Business Management
Have an understanding of end-to-end design and development process from Instructional Design to Delivery
Enjoys writing and editing technical papers and marketing collateral

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Coursework in training and development and/or instructional design
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience with Adobe products, Camtasia, Photoshop, Captivate
Experience with Communications/Email Marketing software/tools
